SMPC earns Three Golden Arrows for corporate governance excellence

Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) has once again been recognized for its corporate governance practices, receiving Three Golden Arrows at the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards held on October 23, 2026, in Makati City. 

Conferred by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the recognition reflects SMPC’s adherence to corporate governance standards that promote transparency, accountability, and responsible leadership. The company has received Golden Arrow recognition every year since 2019 and has earned Three Golden Arrows for the fourth consecutive year.  

The ACGS evaluates publicly listed companies across ASEAN based on their corporate governance practices, including shareholder rights, stakeholder relations, transparency and disclosure, and board responsibilities. This year, ACGS also placed more weight on sustainability and resilience in response to growing calls for corporate boards to better manage long-term risks together with financial performance. 

SMPC’s recognition underscores its continued commitment to responsible business practices and sound corporate governance as it works to create long-term value for its stakeholders.
